Goat Cheese and Honey a simple perfect snack to keep up our energy stores and aid in rebuilding muscle. Protein is imperative for repairing and rebuilding muscle. Goat Cheese is an awesome choice for protein intake. It has twice the amount of protein compared to cheese made with cow's milk. It also contains fewer calories than most types of cheese. Goat Cheese has half of the fat and cholesterol of cream cheese. The reason being is that the fat globules in cow's milk are considerably larger than the fat globules in goat's milk. Another benefit of this is easier digestion with goat's milk products.
Honey is a natural sweetener containing antioxidants and it's fat free and cholesterol free. A few other important health benefits to know about honey is that it contains glucose and fructose which remain independent of one another which makes it easier for our bodies to digest. With table sugar the glucose and fructose bind together and form sucrose which the stomach can't digest. Another benefit is the energy we get from honey. The glucose in honey is stored in our liver as glycogen. When we need energy the glycogen stores are converted back to glucose. Treat your body well and nurture it with good food.
