Soccer Social

Soccer Social has arrived to send you into your Thanksgiving holiday well informed on your favorite soccer stars. That way, when you wake up from your food coma sometime this weekend, you won't be too far behind. This week saw a blockbuster trade go through in the NWSL. The Conference Finals began in MLS and the home teams took care of business. Christmas decorating begins for Deandre and much more.

Deandre Yedlin is getting in the holiday spirit. He got in his finest holiday sweater and his Yeezy boosts and went and cut down that tree for his apartment.

The MLS Conference Final first legs happened this week and both the Columbus Crew and Portland Timbers came away with two goal wins. It would seem as long as the Crew keep winning we will keep getting epic locker room selfies. The Crew defeated the New York Red Bulls 2-0.

Tobin Heath was in attendance at the Portland vs Dallas game and snapped this pic of the Timbers army TIFO. They really do it big in Portland. Is anyone really challenging them for the top TIFO bragging rights?

Timber Joey was busy cutting slabs from that giant tree trunk in Portland as the Timbers cruised to a 3-1 victory over FC Dallas. Check out the clutch streamer toss that bounces off one of the slices. That person was HYPED when they struck paydirt with that throw.

Who stole the Macaroons!? Meghan Klingenberg gives us a sneak peak at an upcoming #MEGisode out on December 1st.

The NWSL saw several trades and signings over this past week. The biggest of them saw the Chicago Red Stars and the Boston Breakers swap Alyssa Naeher and Whitney Engen. Here Alyssa makes her first remarks regarding her new team in Chicago.

Meanwhile, Whitney Engen had something to say regarding the trade as well. She also decided 140 characters was just not going to cut it. I hear ya Whitney, preach.

Damien Perrinelle starts the road to recovery looking like the bionic man while he cheers for his New York Red Bull teammates to pull off the epic comeback in the upcoming second leg matchup against the Crew.

Out in LA, Bradford Jameison IV got some fresh ink to celebrate the end of his first full season for the Galaxy.

Deandre isn't the only one rushing headfirst in to the holiday season. Sporting Kansas City is making it easy for you to simultaneously look like an amazing Christmas buffoon and a die hard fan with these new sweaters. Does it kinda look like Chance borrowed his dad's sweater for this shoot or is that just me?

Finally, the newest head coach for the Chicago Fire is certainly starting off on the right foot. Veljko Paunovic has a tall task ahead of him and getting the fans on his side early will certainly help him in his first year.
