Shuttle Run Cone Drill. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In the game of soccer, players must accelerate, sprint, change direction, and accelerate the other direction constantly, many times with the ball at their feet. This is a great drill to work on your agility and acceleration with the ball. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ How to: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. Set up four cones, 5 yards apart and start with the ball at one end. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2. Sprint out to the first cone as fast as you can while maintaining control of the ball. When you reach the first cone, perform a turn/cut and change direction back to your starting point. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3. Repeat the process, but this time go out ten yards to the second cone and perform a cut back/turn. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 4. Repeat once more, for the last cone 15 yards away then accelerate back to the start. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Tips: I like to mix up my cuts and turns between inside/outside the foot chops, pull backs, Cruyffs, pull back taps, step over turns, etc. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I usually do 5-8 sets with about a minute of juggling in between sets as a recovery/technical break. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #BecomeElite ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
